CB Series Explosion-proof Conductor Bushings

They are used to establish electrical connections between two compartments of flameproof enclosures (Ex db) or between a flameproof enclosure (Ex db) and an increased safety enclosure (Ex eb), ensuring reliable electrical continuity and insulation between conductors.

CB Series explosion-proof conductor bushings are designed to provide safe electrical conductor feed-throughs through the walls of enclosures intended for use in hazardous areas, while maintaining the integrity of the equipment's protection concept.

They are used to establish electrical connections between two compartments of flameproof enclosures (Ex db) or between a flameproof enclosure (Ex db) and an increased safety enclosure (Ex eb), ensuring reliable electrical continuity and insulation between conductors.

In electric motors designed for use in hazardous areas with Ex db protection, the flameproof motor enclosure incorporates either a flameproof or an increased safety terminal box for connection to the power supply. CB conductor bushings are specifically designed to provide conductor feed-throughs between these compartments, maintaining the flameproof integrity of the motor enclosure while preserving the required clearance and creepage distances of the increased safety (Ex eb) connections.

CB conductor bushings consist of a high-performance insulating resin body with excellent dielectric and mechanical properties, complete with a brass threaded through-stud to ensure reliable electrical connections and long service life.

Their robust construction provides a high level of electrical insulation together with excellent resistance to mechanical stresses and harsh environmental conditions, making them suitable for installation in industrial, petrochemical, offshore, chemical, and power generation facilities located in hazardous areas.

CB conductor bushings are available in a wide range of sizes and current ratings to meet the requirements of electrical panels, junction boxes, terminal assemblies, and other certified equipment for hazardous area applications.
