CORTEM becomes an Italian historic trademark of national interest

Cortem Group is proud to announce the registration of its brand in the Register of Historic trademark of National Interest, created by the Ministry of Economic Development to protect the industrial property of historic Italian companies and celebrate Italian excellence. A historical trademark is a particular type of trademark that has been used for the marketing of products or services for a period of at least 50 years. Not only that, the trademark owner must demonstrate that it is historically connected to the national territory or, more precisely, that it identifies a national production entity of excellence historically connected to the territory.

"It is an honour for the two founding families and for all those who have contributed to the success of Cortem to see our brand included in the Register of Historic Trademark of National Interest" - says Alessandro Rossi, President of Cortem SpA. - "This recognition is a testimony of the constant commitment and passion that has guided Cortem for three generations now, with the arrival of my nephew Michele Budinich as CEO - comments Riccardo Gratton, Vice-President of Cortem SpA. We will continue to work with the same dedication and to serve our customers as best as in these 57 years of activity".

Cortem S.p.A., the main company of the Cortem Group, was founded on February 24, 1968, in Villesse with the acronym of “Cor.tem” (Costruzioni, Rappresentanze tecniche elettromeccaniche), with the ambition of becoming an Italian, and then international, leader in the design and production of electrical equipment for environments with risk of explosion.
